Lucy is a Social Worker for the Shelter for Abused Women and Children in Immokalee. She opened the first outpost for this shelter there in 1997. She was a farmworker when she was younger but she was determined to get higher education and eventually earned a Masters in Social Work.
Lucy es trabajadora social del refugio para mujeres y niños maltratados en Immokalee. Abrió el primer puesto de avanzada para este refugio allí en 1997. Era trabajadora agrícola cuando era más joven, pero estaba decidida a obtener una educación superior y finalmente obtuvo una Maestría en Trabajo Social.
