Maria is the founder of Roots of Immokalee storytelling blog (www.rootsofimmokalee.com). She’s also a co-founder of the Immokalee Grassroots Movement. Maria recently became a member of the advisory committee at the News-Press in Fort Myers, Southwest Florida. She’s an Florida Gulf Coast University alumni.
