In this photo Maria is harvesting chaya leaves at the community garden of Cultivate Abundance and Misión Peniel, Immokalee. She volunteers weekly to tend the garden and to learn and share about Indigenous plants with other gardeners. The garden is the main source of healthy organic foods for her and her family.
