A growing selection of materials from FIU Libraries Special Collections has been digitized and made available online for expanded access to unique primary sources. These materials support research in genealogy, local history, politics, literature, art, architecture, and more. The collection includes oral histories, community records, photographs, maps, manuscripts, and rare publications that document the social, political, and cultural development of the region. Highlights include materials on Cuban American communities, the cultural and political life of South Florida, the natural history and preservation of the Everglades, and content from English-, Spanish-, and French-speaking countries in the Caribbean Basin.
