Humo
The Humo series is inspired by the multifaceted symbolism of smoke (humo), which evokes a spectrum of emotions. For me, smoke represents more than just an ephemeral presence; it carries the legacy and history of my Cuban culture, deeply intertwined with cigars and tobacco. Through this series, I explore how humo reflects the intangible-memories, emotions, and the cultural essence of my heritage.
This art exhibition showcases a dynamic blend of media and styles, reflecting my creative interpretation of these themes. My work spans realism, abstraction, and Impressionism, brought to life through diverse materials such as colored pencils, pen and ink, acrylic paints, and markers. Each piece embodies a unique fusion of techniques, aiming to capture the complexity and beauty of the emotions and stories conveyed by humo.
