Introduction
Every fall students from Professor Jaime Canaves, ARC1461, Materials and Methods of Design are given a “Domino Set Assignment.” The class is given the following challenge: “The students must come up with original and unique designs of a traditional domino set. The traditional set of dominoes contains one piece for each possible combination of two ends with zero to nine spots called pips.”
The following spring, final projects are installed and displayed in a FIU School of Architecture Dominoes Exhibition in the Gallery at Green Library. Due to the temporary closure of the University campus, the exhibition has been made available online.
